Actona Joins Forces With FTG

A game changing partnership fortifying Furniture To Go’s UK & Irish Market Leading position

Press release 01.06.2024

Furniture To Go is an established UK Brand, operating a B2B model supporting retail stores, buying groups, key accounts, and dropship fulfillment traders. Paul Sheldon, FTG’s Director of Sales and Operations, revealed: ‘The success and more importantly the sustainable growth of FTG, is largely down to the business forging lasting partnerships with its suppliers. Europe’s leading suppliers, Meble Wojcik, Tvilum, Baltic Sofa’s, and Forte, all under the FTG Brand.’

FTG is now very pleased to announce another key strategic partner, Actona Group, to its brand. Actona is based in Denmark and has a staggering six production sites across Europe and Asia, with a combined production area covering more than 140.000 m2.

Paul says: ‘This is going to be a fantastic partnership, and a fantastic opportunity for the UK market, with endless possibilities. The latest Actona designs of high-quality occasional pieces, chairs, side tables, storage, and dining tables to mention a few categories – will all be in stock in the UK at FTG’s Portsmouth warehouse. This gives the UK retailers a great opportunity to have these commercial products delivered to store or direct to the customer, on a next day basis.’

Actona’s Oliver Riis Mortensen is equally as excited about the new partnership and had this to say: ‘This is a fantastic opportunity for Actona and its already established retail customer base with the UK and Ireland, as all Actona’s UK commercial product will now be in stock for next day delivery. This is something that we at Actona have seen an increased demand for in all the markets where Actona operates. We will also now be able to offer Actona’s strong Sofa assortment in the UK for next-day delivery.’

FTG is without doubt one of the UK’s leading ready-to-assemble furniture brands, which is now clearly expanding its category offering. No other company has such a leading exclusive partner base, under one offering. So, what does it really mean for the UK market?

Paul is proud to boast: ‘FTG now has more than 100 commercial ranges in stock, for next-day delivery. That’s over 2000 SKUs, with an on-shelf availability rate of 98% available for next-day delivery. Each partner brings something different to the table, and in turn, our customers clearly benefit from the one-stop hassle-free shop. Actona now joins this fantastic FTG brand along with Europe’s leading suppliers.’

‘The product is one thing, but it’s the whole FTG package, that works for our customers. From a very competitive tiered pricelist to our next-day DHD service. No MOQ! Full E-commerce support, including CSV files, a full range of high-res images, stock feed integration, and a UK Customer Service Team to support the sales process.’

Combine commercial products with the FTG next-day proposition, and it’s clear to see why they are the go-to one stop shop!

Strengthening FTG’s positionin the UK & Irish market

Press release 01.04.2022

Furniture To Go continues to forge lasting relationships, which has been key to its successful growth. Paul Sheldon, Furniture To Go’s director of sales and operations, revealed: ‘We are incredibly proud of what we have achieved at FTG in recent years. Our partnerships with our suppliers was how it all began and it continues to be the way we thrive’.

‘It’s about building a relationship with them and creating a long-term sustainable model and not a fly-by-night supply and demand model. We have worked hard on delivering the route to market for some key commercial products through our supply chain management.

FTG’s customer-centric approach has also been integral to the company's development and growth, as Paul continued: ‘We have worked with our customers the same way that we have worked with our partner suppliers, by building that relationship and understanding their needs.’

It is this ethos that has maintained a solid platform for growth over the years, as well as providing the strategy for growing its partners. FTG is now proud to announce the next stage of this growth with another key partner, Forte to its FTG brand. Forte is a leading manufacturer of ready-to-assemble furniture, with 31 years of production under its belt.

Paul says: ‘This is fantastic for the UK market. Forte offers a point of difference in commercial ranges. The company is steeped in history, but forward-thinking – using the latest customer insights to develop winning products. I’m proud to be launching them in the UK.’

Forte’s national sales manager Victoria Ross is as equally as proud of the new partnership. Victoria had this to say: ‘We had spent some time trying to find the right distribution partner for Forte in the UK. We wanted to be able to offer our customers a trusted, reliable service that gave them access to next-day stock and we found that in Furniture To Go. Retailers can access most of our collections without having to meet our standard production minimum order quantities. We are looking forward to being able to offer even more of our collection as our partnership with Furniture To Go grows.

FTG partner with Manis-H

When only the best is good enough

Press release 04.04.2021

Furniture To Go are very proud to announce another exclusive European production powerhouse to the UK. Manis-h is a Danish owned company that combines years of experience with drive and initiative. Since 1972 the family-owned business has been producing commercial quality children’s products under well-known brands like Thuka and Flexa. This long experience ensures products are safe, not only to safeguard kids during impulsive games, but also to ensure they comply with applicable legislation.

The standard and quality of these products is not coincidental, everything has been done with a meaning to it. To be modest, this will be a market leading product in the UK. Designed and produced in Denmark, everything single aspect is fully realized in the production. The development happens in close co-operation with experts, to reveal the ‘real’ effect and durability of the product.

With legs of massive beechwood you can be sure to have a robust bed – whether it is a high or a low one. Beech wood is a slowly growing tree, which gives it a hard and robust resistance and strength to sustain wear and tear from years of daily use. So, it is not without reason that this is our preferred material. You will never find any knots sweating through the surface or weakening the strength of the wood, as there are no knots in our beechwood. All the beds side, safety rails and so on are made from MDF. Our paint is water-based and does not contain any dangerous chemicals harmful to children.

Children love colour, and creativity. With a great selection of play curtains, pockets, cushions, shelf units, and even a chalkboard – children can express themselves in their own way. If the space beneath the bed is not used, it is a perfect place to store toys. Our underbed drawers have clever drawer guides that make them roll back and forth seamlessly.

It is with great excitement that we welcome you to Manis-H.
